A10 Networks Brings Brawn to Stop Multi-Vector DDoS Disruption with Expanded Thunder TPS Solution
A10 Thunder TPS can block multi-vector DDoS attacks to stop disruption, detecting and mitigating them at the network edge, and functioning as a first line of defense for the network infrastructure. At the high end of the brawn scale, the new Thunder 14045—the fastest appliance on the market—packs 300 Gbps of mitigation throughput capacity (or 2.4 terabits per second in a cluster).
Cloud Distribution Appointed as A10 Networks’ Approved Training Partner (ATP) Centre for Western Europe
Lee Mepsted, Western Europe Channel Manager for A10 Networks, comments: “This is a big step for A10 Networks, having previously provided all training directly. As a result of Cloud Distribution coming on board as an ATP, our technical resources will be free to deliver even more value to both our partners and end users.”
A10 Networks Cybersecurity Report Attributes Half of Attacks to Malware Hidden in Encrypted Traffic
A growing number of organizations are turning to encryption technology to keep their network data safe. For many security managers, however, the cost of inspecting this rising tide of encrypted traffic is degraded network performance—an incorrect assumption depending on solution and technology choice that can carry costly consequences. At issue is the fact that SSL encryption not only hides data traffic from would-be hackers, but also from common security tools. The encryption technology that is crucial to protecting sensitive data in transit, such as web transactions, emails and mobile apps, can allow malware hiding inside that encrypted traffic to pass uninspected through an organization’s security framework.
A10 Networks and Cylance Join Forces to Secure Networks from Perimeter to Data Center with OEM Agreement
The partnership’s significance is marked by customers challenged in securing their networks due to malicious attacks hiding within encrypted web and email traffic— traffic that traditional security methods do not properly address. Newer security technologies, such as detonation of executable files, are effective for deep analysis but are not optimized for rapid block/allow decisions in network use cases. Additionally, the proliferation of dynamic content and unknown threats have also made traditional signature-based antivirus nearly obsolete and of little value.
A10 Networks Acquires Appcito, Expanding A10’s Vision to Deliver Secure Application Services for All Customers
In 2015, Gartner named Appcito as one of the “Cool Vendors in Enterprise Networking.” The acquisition adds to A10 Networks’ existing momentum around providing secure application service solutions that meet several key demands. These demands include application analytics, visibility, and centralized control. Appcito fits seamlessly into A10 Networks’ A10 Harmony solution architecture. The architecture, which was introduced in early 2015, supports secure application service offerings that span traditional data centers, private clouds, public clouds, and hybrid clouds.
New Study Finds Businesses Fighting ‘Sudden Death’ From DDoS Attacks
Businesses are fighting back. More than half of the surveyed organizations said they planned to increase their DDoS prevention budgets in the next six months. IT security teams are the most likely to lead DDoS prevention efforts (36 percent), followed closely by the chief security officers (26 percent) and the CIO (26 percent).
